Travel the oak, eucalyptus and vineyard lined roads of the Napa Valley and you will hear from those who know, “It takes a lot of beer to make good wine.” Over the last several years the growth of craft brews within the sanctity of wine country has outpaced the opening of new wineries.
A little history reminder for those who may have
forgotten or have yet to enjoy the valley. The Christian Brothers were some of
the first to settle in the upper valley and with all due respect they would
ferment anything they could get yeast to feed on. Grapes, apples, pears, plums,
corn you know where this is headed were used to make brandies and beers and so
on. Some of our local favorites are:
