Enjoy a volcanic ash mud bath at Calistoga Spa Hot Springs. A Volcanic Ash Mud Bath is a centuries-old ritual used to improve joint and muscle pain while removing excess dirt and toxins that will leave you relaxed and rejuvenated.
At Spa Calistoga, a mud bath is a combination of volcanic ash deposits from Mount St. Helena and Mont Konocti blended with peat, clay, and geothermal mineral water. The guest is guided into the mud by an attendant and provided cool water and compresses to help prevent overheating.
